The youth football team of Montenegro was defeated at the start of the preliminary round of qualification for the European Championship.
Montenegrin football players were defeated by Italy 3:0 today in the Greek Archanes, in the eighth group.
Italy was led to victory by Mattia Manini in the 23rd minute, Osayuki's Jeff Ekator in the 45th minute and Lorenzo Ricci in the 61st minute.
In the second round, on November 16, Montenegro will play Greece, while three days later they will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Placement in the elite round will be won by the two first-placed teams, as well as the best third-placed national team from one of the 13 groups.
