Former assistant coach of Manchester United Ruud van Nistelrooy said today that he was privileged and honored to have the opportunity to lead the team of that football club.
In a message on social networks, Van Nistelroj said goodbye to the club, employees and fans, a few days after he left the club after the arrival of new coach Ruben Amorim.
The former United player led the team in the last four games, since coach Erik ten Haag was fired at the end of October and leaves the bench undefeated, with three wins and one draw in all competitions.
"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible effort and support. I had the privilege and honor of representing the club as a player and coach and I will always remember the memories we shared," Van Nistelroj said, Sky reported.
"MUFC will always have a special place in my heart and I hope there will be more glorious days at Old Trafford very soon - not just because I wish the club well, but because you all deserve it," he added.
The new coach Amorim will make his debut on the bench of the Manchester club after the break in the championships, on November 24 against Ipswich.
After 11 rounds in the Premier League, Manchester United ranks 13th in the table with 15 points.
