In addition to losing all chances to fight for survival in the B League of Nations with the defeat against Iceland, the football team of Montenegro will be significantly weakened on Tuesday against Turkey (20.45:XNUMX), in the last match of this cycle.
Adam Marušić and Risto Radunović, players who played in the positions of right and left back, earned double cards in the matches against the Icelanders.
Both were booked in the same minute - in the 66th, for the same reason - of protest, revolted by the decisions of the German referee Sven Jablonski.
Eight minutes earlier, Jablonski "blocked" Marko Bakić, thus preventing him from shooting from a favorable position, and he did not stop the Icelanders' counterattack and returned the ball to our national team.
Instead of the referee, Marko Janković did it - with a foul, earning a yellow card, fortunately not even, so the midfielder of Karabagh will be at the disposal of Robert Prosinečko in the match against the Turks.
The problem, however, is the back positions - on the right side there is no Marušić, there is also no previously absent Marko Vešović, on the left there is no Radunović, and there is no injured Andrija Vukčević either.
Prosinečki subsequently invited the left back of Budućnost Ognjen Gašević, so it is expected that he will make his debut. It remains to be seen who will be the choice on the right side...
Montenegro against Turkey, after five consecutive defeats with a goal difference of 1:8, is playing only for prestige, for honor, to end the black series.
Captain Stevan Jovetić, who did not play against Iceland because of a card, could help in this.
Turkey needs a win to win first place and place in B League of Nations. A point will probably be enough for Vincenzo Montela's men, unless Wales beat Iceland by five or more points.
The match between Montenegro and Turkey will be played on Tuesday evening near Bistrica at 20.45:XNUMX, and the referee will be Swiss Urs Šnijder.
