Pini Zahavi, the agent of Al-Hilal Neymar, dismissed media speculation that his client would return to Brazilian football.
Numerous media reported that Neymar is negotiating with the Saudi club to terminate his contract in order to return to Santos, but Zahavi said that the 32-year-old Brazilian footballer is happy at Al-Hilal and that there are no negotiations on the termination of cooperation.
However, the Brazilian journalist specializing in transfers Cesar Luis Merlo stated on the X network that the agreement between Neymar and Santos is close, the website Gol reported today.
Also, beIN Sports reported that there is a possibility that Neymar will return to Santos, who won Serie B this season and earned a return to the most elite competition in Brazil.
Neymar started his career in Santos, for which he played 2009 games from 2013 to 225, scored 136 goals and had 64 assists. He led the team to the trophy in the Brazil Cup in 2010, the Libertadores Cup in 2011 and a year later to the Copa Sudamericana.
He had the best season in 2011/2012, in which he scored 49 goals and had 44 assists in 17 games.
He played very successfully for Barcelona, from where he moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for a record 222 million euros. He left the Paris club in 2023 and moved to Al-Hilal.
On October 21, Neymar returned to the field after a one-year break due to a ligament and meniscus injury, but he is again out for up to six weeks due to a tendon injury.
In Brazil, there was speculation that Neymar could sign for Palmeiras, but the club's president, Lejla Pereira, rejected that possibility.
"I want to invest in someone who can play immediately, who can play tomorrow if the coach decides. Palmeiras is not a medical department. I will not accept signing a contract with a player who cannot play immediately," Pereira said recently.
Neymar's contract with Al-Hilal expires next June.
