And that's Montenegro - a selection that didn't win a single point in five matches, that scored only one goal, decimated by injuries, knocked down the hit of the European Championship, a team that wanted confirmation of placement in the A division in Nikšić.
Dancing in the rain and on a bad pitch near Bistrica could be a harbinger of better days for our football - Montenegro defeated Turkey 3:1 with Nikola Krstović's hat-trick on their farewell to the B League of Nations and crushed their dreams of a higher ranking.
A total of three points do not mean much in terms of results, but they came with an incredible fight, pride, character and heart of the "falcons" - and that is what they must especially be happy about. In the end, they may also mean that the already regretted one remains on the bench Robert Prosinecki.
It wasn't Stefan Savić, Adam Marušić, Marko Vešović, Slobodan Rubežić, Vladimir Jovovic and several other important players, but they are Stefan Lončar, Milan Vukotić and debutant Ognjen Gašević tonight they played as if they had many matches behind them in the red jersey.
Of course, everything was much easier with the captain Stevan Jovetić and Krstović's goals...

When a forced formation brings a result
Due to the large number of injuries, Prosinečki decided to start the last match in the League of Nations in the formation (3-5-2) that was often used by the former coach during previous campaigns. Miodrag Radulović, and she gave him the best performance since leading the Falcons.
The match started with an unexpected mistake by captain Jovetić and a great chance Arde Guler, but also super defense Igor Nikić, and then Montenegro started to play... The nice action of the players of Budućnost Gašević and Vukotić seemed to herald a good period for our footballers.
Jovetić very quickly, who knows how many times, showed how important he is for our selection, and Krstović why he is a striker from Serie A.
The long-awaited goal, only the second in this cycle, arrived in the 29th minute, when Krstović used a long ball Marko Tući and error Erena Elmalia and masterfully overcame obliquely from the right side Merta Gunoka.

Right after the goal, the "falcons" could have made it 2:0, but Janković failed to finish the great action and the "no look pass" by captain Jovetić.
The penalty came six minutes later... During this League of Nations, Montenegro received goals after a corner, from a counterattack, and this time from a quick action that started from the outside, which was finished by the young ace of Juventus Kenan Yildiz.
Maybe there were those who thought that the fall of the "Falcon" would follow, but Krstović had other plans... Adding the fifth Marko Janković the Leće striker crowned the Eurogoal - a bomb against which even Gunok, the hero of Turkey from the last Euro, had no chance.
Gašević brightened his debut with an assist
As expected, the second half brought pressure from the team Vincenzo Montela, the Turks had dangerous chances over Thanks to Akturkoglu i Ismail Yuksek, but somehow it seemed that the trio in defense Igor Vujacic, Marko Tući i Nikola Sipcic controls everything...
And while the nervous Turks were looking for a goal for a draw, the new Nikola Krstović arrived - in the 73rd minute, this time with a header after a great cross from Gašević.

Turkey tried, Montela made changes, but this time against Montenegro there was no winning combination.
The "Falcons" finally, after seven defeats in a row, soared, but the victory against the favorites of the group must be only the first step towards some new, more beautiful cycles of our national team.
