The players of Bayer Leverkusen won today at their home Heidenheim 5:2, in the 11th round of the Bundesliga.
The advantage was brought to Heidenheim by Niklas Dorš with a goal in the 10th minute, and Matias Honsak increased the lead with a goal in the 21st minute.
Heidenheim's lead was reduced by Bayer midfielder Ezekiel Palacio with a goal in the 30th minute, and Patrick Schick scored Bayer's equalizer two minutes later. The advantage was brought to Bayer by Šik's goal in the 52nd minute, and the same player increased the lead with his third goal in the 71st minute.
The final result was set by Bayer midfielder Granit Xhaka with a goal in the 82nd minute. Bayer is fourth in the table with 20 points, while Heidenheim is in 15th place with 10 points. In the next round, Bayer will play in Berlin against Union, while Heidenheim will welcome Eintracht from Frankfurt.
Borussia Dormund beat Freiburg 4:0 at home. Maximilian Bayer gave Borussia the lead with a goal in the seventh minute, and Felix Nmeča increased the lead with a goal in the 40th minute. Borussia's lead was further increased by Julian Brandt with a goal in the 66th minute, and the final result was set by Jamie Gittens with a goal in the 77th minute.
Two Freiburg players were sent off. First, Patrik Osterhage received a second yellow card in the 63rd minute, then Junior Adamu received a straight red card in the third minute of stoppage time in the second half. Borussia is fifth in the table with 19 points, while Freiburg is sixth with 17 points. In the next round, Borussia will meet Bayern Munich, while Freiburg will meet Borussia Monchengladbach.
Hoffenheim beat Leipzig 4:3 on their field in Zinsheim.
Willi Orban gave Leipzig the lead with a goal in the 15th minute, and Adam Hložek equalized for Hoffenheim two minutes later. Antonio Nuss returned the lead to Leipzig with a goal in the 19th minute, and Tom Bischoff brought Hoffenheim the equalizer in the 50th minute.
Leipzig took the lead again with an own goal by Hoffenheim defender Stanley Nsoka in the 67th minute, and Hoffenheim equalized for the third time with a goal by Hložek in the 82nd minute. The winning goal for Hoffenheim was scored by Jacob Brun Larsen in the 87th minute.
Hoffenheim is in 13th place with 12 points, while Leipzig is second with 21 points. In the next round, Hoffenheim will play away to Mainz, while Leipzig will welcome Wolfsburg.
Stuttgart beat Bochum 2-0 at home, in the last game before the duel with Red Star in the Champions League on Wednesday, while Wolfsburg beat Union Berlin 1-0 at home.
