Rud van Nistelrooy took over the Leicester bench. The great former striker, who until recently was an assistant at Manchester United, signed a contract with the "foxes" until the summer of 2027.
Van Nistelrooy has been part of Manchester United's coaching staff since this summer. In the period from October 28 to November 11, 2024, he was the acting head coach of the "Devils", but after the appointment of Ruben Amorim, the 48-year-old Dutchman left the club.
He had a great result in four games, a draw with Chelsea and three victories - two precisely over Leicester in the League Cup of England (5:2) and the Premier League (3:0). And the fans were all with him, but Amorim decided to bring his coaching staff from Sporting.
