Nottingham Forest players beat Ipswich 1:0 at home. The scorer of the winning goal was Chris Wood from the penalty spot in the 48th minute.

Nottingham Forest is sixth with 22 points, and Ipswich is in 18th position with nine points. In the next round, Nottingham Forest will host Manchester City.

In other matches, Brentford beat Leicester 4:1 as the host, for which Rud van Nistelrooy has not yet made his cup debut, and Bournemouth defeated Wolverhampton 4:2 on the away field.
