Fiorentina's Edoardo Bove is awake and talking to doctors after spending the night in hospital after suddenly collapsing on the grass during the match against Inter.
As La Repubblica reported today, the 22-year-old football player is awake and no longer intubated.
"Thank you everyone", were the first words of the footballer after he woke up, La Repubblica reported.
The match between Fiorentina and Inter in Florence on Sunday was abandoned in the 17th minute after Bove collapsed on the grass. He bent down to tie the petrel, then stood up, took a step and collapsed on the grass. After receiving help on the field, Bove was immediately transferred to the hospital near the "Artemio Franki" stadium.
His club and the hospital management announced last night that the first cardiological examinations ruled out the possibility of acute damage to the central nervous system and the cardio-respiratory system and that a new assessment would be known in 24 hours.
The management of Serie A confirmed that the game will continue from the 17th minute, but did not set the date of play.
