Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said today that there is a chance that football player Harry Kane will return to the field by the end of the year.
On Saturday, during the match against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Kane strained his hamstring and left the field in the 33rd minute.
He told the coach after the game that the injury was not that serious.
Kompani said today that it is difficult to say when the 31-year-old striker will return to the field.
"There's a chance he'll play again this year. He'll definitely miss a few games. You can't replace him in one-on-one situations. He's a top player," Kompany said, Sky reported.
Bayern take on Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup on Tuesday night, and Kompany said the team could make up for Kane's absence.
"We will solve things differently. Tomorrow we will not lack talent. We have several options - Thomas Miller, Mathis Tell, Serge Gnabry, Michael Olis, Leroy Sane. Maybe not Kingsley Coman in that position," said the Belgian coach.
"Harry scored 20 goals. You can't make up for that. But we have players who can score goals, including Jamal Musiala. We will have a solution. We have enough players to fill that position, even if you can't replace his goals one-on-one," he said is a Company.
Kane scored 19 goals in 20 games in all competitions this season.
Until the break in the championship due to the Christmas holidays, Bayern will play five more games, in the Cup against Bayer Leverkusen, in the championship against Heidenheim, Mainz and Leipzig and in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk.
