The management of the West Ham football club is divided over whether Đulen Lopetegui should remain the coach of the London team, after bad results.
The Spanish coach's future at the club is uncertain, as the club's management is divided 60-40 on whether to fire him, Sky reported today.
The board is considering firing the coach after two consecutive defeats, against Arsenal and Leicester, after which West Ham is 14th in the Premier League table.
A final decision is expected to be made by Friday.
West Ham lost to Leicester 1:3 last night on the away field, and Lopetegui said after that game that the team deserved more.
"It's not easy to play football. We had 31 shots in the opponent's penalty area and when you do that you usually win. We had a lot of chances, but we didn't manage to take them. Tomorrow we continue to work, knowing that we can change the situation. The players want to win for themselves , for me and for the club. It's about winning, and we deserved more. The order of the matches will be the most important, we have to be concentrated," Lopetegui said at the time.
West Ham won 14 points in the Premier League in 15 rounds.
