The new president of the Sutjeska Football Club will be Boris Rašković.
A businessman from Podgorica, one of the owners of the company "Water Group", will jump into football waters for the first time in his professional career, will try to stabilize the business and put one of the biggest Montenegrin clubs back on track.
The matter is over, Rašković has already visited the City Stadium, addressed the football players, the coaching staff, and the official appointment has yet to take place.
Sutjeska has been without a president of the Board of Directors since November 6, when the previous head of the club, Marko Mitrović, resigned after one of the most unsuccessful chapters of the Nikšić club in the last two decades.
After winning the title in 2022, Sutjeska's results dropped so much that it ended up in the zone of the fight for survival, it was also eliminated on the first step in the Cup, and all this after a summer in which it did not play on the European stage for the first time in eight years.
The absence of "planned" funds from the UEFA fund also shook the club's financial stability. All of this was followed by devastating results of the younger categories, at least for a club of such renown, and various controversies during parting with coaches (Nenad Brnović in particular, Miljan Radović) and stories that reached the newspaper columns of the black chronicle.
In any case, Sutjeska is trying to get back on track as a result, but first she has to do it organizationally.
There is a lot of work ahead of Rašković and the new administration.
