FK Otrant-Olympic tomorrow will present the construction project of the City Stadium, the largest sports infrastructure facility in the Municipality of Ulcinj.
As announced, the presentation will be held on Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Ulcinj Municipality Assembly.
It is stated that all aspects of the project will be presented - sports, infrastructural, economic and all the benefits that the stadium will bring to Ulcinj, but also to Montenegro.
"I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this - that tomorrow we will promote the main project for the construction of the stadium. Our long-standing dream is already becoming a reality. Practically my whole life, the goal was for the First League to be played in Ulcinj and for the city to have a stadium where will be able to play European matches, Otranto president Skendo Redža told "Vijesta".
"My greatest joy was when I had children, when we entered the First League, it will be when we get a stadium"!
Designers, representatives of the Municipality of Ulcinj and the Football Association of Montenegro will be present at the presentation of the project.
At the same time, while the construction of a modern stadium is being prepared, work is also underway on the adaptation of the existing one on Velika plaža, so that Otrant could play first league matches at its stadium as early as March next year.
Since this season, Ulcinj are in the first league for the first time, they are "guests" at every match - they play home matches mostly in Podgorica or Petrovac. They are fighting for survival, they are currently last in the table, but in the spring everything could be different.
"The work is going according to plan, we hope that it will be finished by the start of the second part of the championship, that the people of Ulcinj will be watching first league football and that our team, with the help of the fans, will win survival in the first league," Redža added.
"I use this opportunity to thank the leaders of the Municipality, headed by President Genko Nimanbegu, as well as the President of the Football Association of Montenegro, Dejan Savićević. Without their support, we would not be able to do all this," concluded the President of Otranto.
