After four and a half years of successes and failures of Kišvarda, the Montenegrin representative Driton Camaj will leave the Hungarian second division team.
A season after the first time playing in Europe, Kishvarda lost the status of a member of the OTP Bank League, the striker of our national team had a problem with an injury, but now it's all behind him.
"My contract has expired, we had a good half-season with a real chance for the club to return to the elite rank, although we lost the leadership position in the last few rounds. Now I'm traveling home, I have several excellent offers on the table, one of which is extremely tempting and would mean to stay in Hungary, but in a club with big ambitions. But I'll wait, because I'm sure there will be a few more good offers, so I'll decide," said Camaj.
He moved to Kišvarda from Iskra in 2020, he played for Zaprešić, Lovćen and Budućnost.
"I am leaving as a free player, although the management of Kishvarda had three offers that satisfied the compensation request, in order to return to the first league competition before this half-season. Now there are no obstacles, I am free and eager for new challenges," concluded Camaj.
He played 21 games for the A team of Montenegro - a performance of two goals and three assists. He was also a member of our younger representative teams. He publicly thanked everyone in the club from which he received his first representative call.
"I came as a boy, and I'm leaving as a man. We had a lot of good moments, I would say more than bad, we played in Europe for the first time in the history of the club! I will remember that forever, as well as the fact that I had the honor of defending the colors of this club, to play with great people and players. I've made friends for life.
