With the matches of the 19th round today, the curtain comes down on the Meridianbet 1st Montenegrin football league when it comes to the autumn part of the season. A two-month break follows, and the championship resumes in February of the following year.
The end of the first part of the championship brings another derby, the first against the second - Budućnost pod Gorica awaits Petrovac (13 p.m.) and has a chance to get away with 12 points with a victory, which would be a huge advantage that would guarantee Ivan Brnović's team a comfortable spring season.
Podgorica are still in a very comfortable position with nine points more than Petrovac, and 16 more than the current champion Moranar, and nine days ago they beat today's rival on their field in a back-to-back match with 4:1.
- Realistically, the situation in the standings is such that even a point would not be bad for us, but no one thinks about it, because knowing the mentality of our players, I know that they are only interested in winning - says Budućnost assistant coach Srđan Nikić.
- In the current season, Petrovac is recognized as a solid, aggressive and fighting team that is the most dangerous from the break - it seems to me that they scored eight goals from that segment of the game. However, I believe that we are more compact, the atmosphere in the locker room is great, the boys transfer that to training and play as they are asked and expected - adds Nikić.
At 14 p.m. Mornar welcomes Otrant-Olympic in Bar.
- A demanding match on a difficult pitch, against an unpleasant team. We played a large number of games this half-season - six in Europe, two in the Cup, 19 in the championship, a total of 27. The players are exhausted, but I hope they will give their best and crown an unreal half-season for our club with a victory - says the coach of Mornar Zoran Đurašković.
An hour earlier, at 13 p.m., there are three matches on the program.
Sutjeska and Dečić Admiralbet are playing near Bistrica, Bokelj SBBet is waiting for Jezero in Kotor, while Arsenal and Jedinstvo Franca meet in Tivat.
Eight teams will rest today, two teams on Wednesday, when they will play the remaining matches of the quarter-finals of the Cup, with the second league teams - Budućnost against Iskra, and Petrovac against Rudar.
