The loan to Standard from Liège was a failure, and soon there could be a new one...
Viktor Đukanović will not stay in Belgium, but he will not return to Hammarby, as the club from Stockholm plans to send the Montenegrin footballer on a new loan, writes the Swedish "Fotbolldirekt".
"At the moment I don't want to comment on anything related to that topic," said Mikael Hjelmberg, Hammarby's sports director, to the aforementioned media.
Standard is reportedly thinking about terminating the agreement regarding the loan, primarily because it is in a difficult financial situation, and according to the Swedish media, the coach of that club, Ivan Leko, criticizes the Montenegrin attacker's defensive play.
"The fact that he had few minutes on the field in the beginning can be partially explained by the fact that he arrived from Hammarby slightly injured, but if we look at the games during the last month, Đukanović did not register a single minute," adds "Fotbolldirekt".
The same source writes that several teams have already expressed interest in bringing the former Buducnosti footballer, but did not name specific names, while the Italian "Tuttomercato" mentions that Empoli "cast their eye" on him.
The club from Tuscany had a great start to the new season, and is currently in 9th place in Serie A.
