Robert Prosinečki remains the selector of the national football team of Montenegro, it was announced after today's session of the Executive Board of the Football Association of Montenegro (IO FSCG).
Prosinečki will lead our national team in the qualifiers for the World Cup, and as it was announced, he won the trust of the members of the IO.
"The senior national team of Montenegro in the qualifications for the 2026 World Cup will be led by Robert Prosinečki, who has received the trust of the members of the Executive Committee to continue working with our best selection," the statement states.
Robert Prosinečki was appointed coach in February, when he succeeded Miodrag Radulović on the bench of the national team.
Prosinečki made his debut on the bench of the "Brave Falcons" in March, when Montenegro defeated Belarus (2:0) and North Macedonia (1:0) during the preparations in Antalya.

Then in June, Montenegro played two friendly matches against Belgium and Georgia and lost both - 2:0 in Brussels and 3:1 in Podgorica.
Our team played competitive matches under the command of Prosinečka in the fourth edition of the League of Nations. In the B League of Nations, Montenegro suffered five defeats (two each against Iceland and Wales and one against Turkey), and then in Nikšić, in the last round, they defeated Turkey 3:1.
The "Brave Falcons" have moved to the C League of Nations, and on Friday they will find out their opponents in the qualifiers for the World Cup.
And in the qualifications they will still be led by Robert Prosinečki.
