The players of Budućnost finished the season a little early, because the quarter-final match of the Cup against Iskra was moved to February next year.

That's why the beautiful championship story remains - the autumn title with an 11-point advantage over the second-placed team from Petrovac, 14 wins in 19 matches and only two defeats, the most goals scored (40), the fewest goals conceded (11).

In a word - dominance on the domestic scene.

- We are satisfied with the results and games as much as the opponents allowed us, and to the highest extent with the pitches, which we have been playing with for many years. Something must be done on that front to make football in Montenegro better, and it is certain that it can and will be if there are better fields. On the other hand, we have a constellation of great young players who have great potential and we must take care of them. I think this is a moment that should make a turning point in the development of the Budućnost Football Club at all levels - believes the coach of Budućnost Ivan Brnović, speaking at the opening of the fan shop of the Podgorica club.

Bućnost dominated - it's true that it has the best team, the best roster, but it also had it in previous seasons, so it was rarely this dominant.

That is why we are already looking forward to the summer and the European challenges - can the club from Podgorica finally make a breakthrough?

- The champions will be talked about in May or earlier if the title is reached mathematically. Now we have more time for winter preparations. We will start from scratch, this team must prepare for Europe, which is certain, we will see in which league - whether the Champions League, the Europa League or the Conference League. The transition period will be important to form a team for Europe, so that we are not outplayed and unprepared as was the case last summer against Mališeva or CSKA to a good extent. An important transitional period awaits us, in which we want to prepare for what awaits us, not only in the second part of the season, but also in the qualifications for European competitions - added Brnović.

The prerequisite for everything is - young players...

- The fruit of good work are the results of the first team, but we should not forget that working with the younger selections plays an important role on that path. We have coaches who make a big contribution in working with young talents, especially in recent years, this is noticeable through the big transfers like Đukanović, Adžić, and almost Perišić, and I'm sure there will be even more of them in the coming period - Brnović said.

Bubućnost will celebrate its 12th birthday on June 100 next year - a double crown would be the best gift to the fans.

- One hundred years of the club is a great jubilee, especially for a club like Budućnost. The priority in this competitive year is to be champions and to play the Champions League qualifiers, which in the worst case brings us the third round of Conference League qualifiers. With a huge effort, one elimination of the opponent would bring us closer to the goal - placement in the playoffs. However, despite the story, we are not thinking about that at the moment because we want to secure the title first - Brnović added.

A short vacation, then preparations...

- We want to welcome the spring part of the season as well as possible, prove that this result is not accidental, and then be as ready as possible for Europe.

Bubućnost will continue the competition in the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League on February 22, and four days earlier they will play the quarter-final match of the Cup of Montenegro against Iskra.
