Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford said he is ready for new challenges, after being asked how he sees his future at the club.
"If I know the situation is bad, I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen other players leave in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave, I'll make a statement and it will be all from me. When I leave, it will be without complaints. You won't have no negative comments from me about Manchester United. I personally think I'm ready for new challenges and next steps," said Rashford in an interview with sports journalist Henry Winter.
The 27-year-old England striker was not in the squad for Sunday's city derby, which ended in United's 2-1 victory over City.
United's new coach Ruben Amorim confirmed that there were no disciplinary problems behind his decision, but said that he expected more from Rashford both on and off the field.
Rashford made his debut for United in 2016 and has since made a total of 426 appearances for the club, scoring 138 goals. The most goals - 30, he scored in the 2022/23 season.
After the away victory over City, United ranks 13th in the Premier League table with 22 points.
