Southampton had better chances in the second half and then Diallo stepped on the scene - for 1:1, he scored in 82th minute.
U 90th minute scored for the lead in the fourth minute of compensation has certified the triumph.
The Devils have won four games, three defeats and a draw with Liverpool in the league, and have 26 points, 10 above the relegation zone. Southampton have just seven points.
Ipswich were defeated at home by Brighton, who scored both goals in the game in the second half. - Mitoma in the 59th minute, then Rutter in the 81st minute.
Brighton is ninth with 31 points, and Ipswich is in 16th place with 18 points, a point below the safety zone.
