The story with Standard Liege is practically over after just a few months of loan, however it is not yet known where Viktor Đukanović will continue his career.
The talented Montenegrin footballer is still under contract with the Swedish Hammarby, but according to media reports from that Scandinavian country, the former trump card of Buducnost will not be returning to Stockholm.
"FotbollDirekt" states that Hammarby is already negotiating with several clubs that are interested in bringing Đukanović on loan, but does not name them.
Some time ago, our forward was linked with the Italian Empoli, then the German Kaiserslautern (he reportedly rejected that offer), and a few days ago, there was also mention of the interest of the Turkish Konyaspor.
"When it comes to sales, the picture is a bit more complicated, because Hammarby is reportedly asking for at least four million for Đukanović, and sports director Mikael Hjelmberg does not want to go below that," writes the aforementioned portal.
Djukanović arrived at Hammarby in January 2023 from Buducnost and then signed a five-year contract with the Stockholm club.
In the Swedish championship, he had notable games, nice goals, and there was mention of interest from famous European clubs, but the guy from Nikšić decided to go on loan to Standard.
However, the trip to Liege was a complete failure - the Belgian giants are in a major financial crisis, Đukanović was out of favor with coach Ivan Lek, and there were injuries, so our player played a total of 68 minutes for Standard.
The Montenegrin national team player is now practically at a new beginning - he couldn't make a mistake with his choice of club this time.
