Only five days of preparation, but certainly an unexpected epilogue - the Buducnost players were defeated by Adria, 2:1 in the first preparatory match for the spring part of the season.
The goals for the team that was part of the Central Region last season were scored by Takara and Daigo, while the scorer for the leader of the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League was Andrej Kostić.
"It's never pleasant when Buducnost loses, regardless of whether it's a friendly, competitive or Cup match," said Ivan Brnović, Buducnost coach.
However, for the "blue and white" strategist, other things were more important this time...
"We did poorly in terms of results, but I also told the players that the result was literally in the background, because we wanted to see certain tactical shifts in the team lines that we had been working on, how they looked individually in the early stages of preparation, as well as on the physical level," Brnović added.
Buducnost will travel to Antalya on Monday morning, where they will continue preparations for the season from January 20 to 31. The team will also be traveling with the guys who missed today's match due to injury: Lazar Savovic, Milos Brnovic and Vladan Adzic, while Andrej Camaj will remain in Podgorica for the same reason.
"I believe that Savović, Brnović and Adžić will quickly resolve their injury problems and that we will have them in Antalya from the first or second training session, while it is a great misfortune that Camaj will not travel with us. He must be treated for seven to ten days, the injury requires serious therapy and I am sincerely sorry that he is not traveling for preparations," said Brnović.
Buducnost also announced that talented cadets Aleksa Perišić and Lazar Popović will also travel to the famous Turkish resort.
"Along with them, our only reinforcement is Marko Milickovic, who has shown with his attitude and work ethic that he will be a reinforcement and that he will bring us new quality. Damjan Dakic has also returned from his loan at Arsenal, who has shown, and we already knew, that he can help us a lot," Brnovic concluded.
