Turkish clubs want Rubin captain, Russian media report.
Montenegrin footballer Igor Vujačić is being targeted by two Turkish Super League teams, and the name of one is also known - Kasimpasa, a team currently in 12th place in the championship, announced "Gazeta.ru".
"During every transfer window there is interest in Vujačić from Turkey," a source from the club told the aforementioned portal.
However, there have not yet been any concrete negotiations regarding Vujačić's transfer.
"The entire process stopped when Vujačić's agent conveyed a simple stance to potential 'buyers' - Igor will not leave. He is completely satisfied with life in Kazan," adds "Gazeta".
Vujačić arrived at the "AK Bars Arena" from Partizan in the summer of 2023. Perhaps at a time when Russia is under sanctions, this departure was surprising, but it turned out to be the right move.
The "Falcon" stopper has settled in brilliantly in the capital of Tatarstan, quickly receiving the captain's armband, and it is difficult to imagine the 2008 and 2009 Russian champions without the former Zeta player.
"We can call him the team leader. He is one of those players in the locker room whose speech is listened to without interruption. From his first games in the Rubin jersey, he practically became the captain," adds the aforementioned portal.
