It may not be very common for an athlete to publicly say that he is the best in the world, but when it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo, that is no surprise.
The legendary Portuguese, who after glorious seasons at Manchester United and Real Madrid, wears the Al-Nasr jersey at the age of 39, says that he does everything well in football and that no one has ever been more complete than him.
"I'm the best footballer of all time, I really believe it," Ronaldo told Spanish "El Chiringuito" and continued in a similar tone:
"Who is the best scorer in history? It's about the mustache, period."
Of course, he also touched on those numbers.
"I've scored 923 goals, but it doesn't matter to me whether I score 930, 950 in my career... If I hit the net 1.000 times - great. And if not - that's also fine, because the numbers don't lie."
He also touched on other great football players.
"It's a matter of taste and if you like Lionel Messi, Pele or Diego Maradona, I understand and respect that, but to say that Ronaldo is not complete... I think I am the most complete, I haven't seen anyone better than me and I'm telling you that from the heart," Ronaldo continued.
He also talked about why he thinks he is the most complete player in history.
"Who has scored the most goals with a header, left foot, penalty kicks, free kicks throughout history? I looked it up the other day - I'm not left-footed, and I'm in the top 10 scorers with that foot in history. And then there are the goals with a header, right foot, all penalties..."
He also touched on the rivalry that marked the new century - with Lionel Messi.
"I have a good relationship with Leo, I even translated things from English for him at the awards ceremony, it was nice and funny. We had a healthy rivalry and we got along," Ronaldo concluded.
