It's easiest for me to play against Dinamo, Hajduk and Rijeka.

At the beginning of the season, Dušan Vuković left Sutjeska and moved to Zagreb, more precisely to Lokomotiva. The former young Montenegrin national team player was injured at the start of the Meridianbet 1. CFL in a match against Dečić Admiralbet in Nikšić, so there were concerns about how he would adapt to the new environment once his recovery was complete, and how long Lokomotiva would be willing to wait for him.

In the end, everything went very well. Vuković recovered from the injury, managed to impose himself, and scored a goal in the last two matches. And against the greats of both Croatian and Yugoslav football - he shook the net of Rijeka in a 4:1 defeat, and was a scorer and an assistant on Sunday against Hajduk. Lokomotiva won that match 3:2 and slowed down the Split team in the fight for the title. And before that, in the first part of the season, Vuković scored a goal against Šibenik.

- I am very pleased. This is the first time I have played outside of Montenegro, at a higher level. I have been striving for this all along, that was my goal. I have come to a situation where I have to play with much bigger players. Everything is happening so fast for me and I am convinced that I will not stop there - Vuković tells "Vijesti".

He is satisfied with how his time in the Croatian capital is going.

- The conditions at the club are excellent. There are mostly my peers, and there are also younger players, as well as more experienced ones. They accepted me nicely. I came from Sutjeska injured and I thought that nothing would come of that transfer. They believed in me. I am satisfied with both the training and the quality of the training - everything is at a much higher level than in Montenegro - says the 22-year-old footballer.

He described how his start at Lokomotiva went.

- At first, when I got the chance, everything was strange to me, I saw everything with different eyes. I play against Ivan Rakitic, Marko Livaja, Bruno Petkovic... Serious players who have been through almost everything. Then I looked at it like - wow, where have I come now, and where was I a few months ago. I only watched those players on TV. Now in the second part of the season I'm looking to show what I know, to contribute to the team for the best possible ranking in the table. I'm focused on my game, how to beat those opponents. When I go out on the field, I forget who's on the other side. Just to score a goal and win.

Quality football is played in Croatia.

- Big teams, Dinamo, Hajduk, Rijeka and Osijek, play open, attacking football. It's easier for me to play against such teams. I'm fast and it's easier for me when the team opens up, I can come to the fore in transitions, which was seen in the previous two games. It's easier for me to play against bigger clubs. Teams that are lower placed are more closed, fighting for survival, chasing points, they don't play that much more beautiful football - explained Vuković.

The move to Lokomotiva could not have happened without consulting Vladan Bubanja, a teammate from Sutjeska and former Zagreb player, who moved to Sarajevo last year.

- I called him first when I arrived. We are good friends, we used to hang out and play together in Sutjeska. He taught me how to train, what to do, how to behave. That helped me - says Vuković.

There is an interesting battle for the title in Croatia. Rijeka is the leader with 39 points, two more than Hajduk, and seven more than Dinamo. On the other hand, Lokomotiva is seventh in the table with 22 points.

- These are very high-quality, serious teams, with serious players. It's not easy to play against them. They're all good in their own way, everyone can beat everyone, which is evident in the matches. The difference in points is small, there's still a lot to go, I think the little things will decide - believes Vuković.

Vuković's contract with Lokomotiv expires in three seasons.

- I came as an injured player at the beginning of the season on loan until the winter. There was a clause in the contract that if I played three matches until the winter, I would become a Lokomotiv player. I fulfilled that in the first part and became a Lokomotiv player for the next three years. I am currently here and I am only thinking about Lokomotiv, so that we can achieve the best possible result by the end of the championship - concluded Vuković.
