Serie A's top scorer, Mateo Retegi, turned down a €20 million-a-year salary to play in Saudi Arabia.
The Italian international, born in Argentina and invited by the then Azzurri coach, Roberto Mancini, became famous in Europe, and is the top scorer in Serie A with 20 goals.
He played fantastically for Atalanta in his last game - he scored four goals against Verona.
Retegi scored a "poker" in just 5 minutes in a 0-35 win. He had only scored one hat-trick in his career before - against former club Genoa in a 5-1 win, but his performances have earned him numerous offers from the richest club, the Premier League.
Retegi joined Boginja from Genoa for just 22 million, with another three million easily achievable in bonuses.
Before the match against Genoa in October, he had never completed a hat-trick.
