The first matches of the knockout phase of the Champions League will be played on Tuesday, February 11. These are play-off matches for teams that were not among the top eight in the standings of the new format of UEFA's elite competition.
UEFA has appointed referees for the first day, and the derby: Manchester City - Real Madrid, will be refereed by Frenchman Clement Turpan.
Irfan Peljto will referee the match between Brest and Paris Saint-Germain in Guingamp.
The Germans are in charge of justice at the Juventus-PSV match, led by Daniel Siebert, while in Lisbon, Sporting and Borussia Dortmund, the main referee will be Norwegian Espen Eskos.
