The biggest Italian derby ended with a victory for Juventus, who defeated Inter 25:1 last night in the 0th round of Serie A.
Inter players missed big chances, primarily Lautaro Martinez and Denzel Dumfries, and then a penalty came in the 74th minute, when Juventus' winter signing Kolo Muani assisted, and Francisco Conceição made no mistake.
A big win for Juventus, and coach Thiago Mota is pleased with the performance in the second half.
"We entered the second half with a different energy. It was difficult in the first half, it seemed like we were respecting them too much. We knew they were good, and that they would struggle if we put pressure on them. We did that much better in the second half," said Mota after the match.
He also had a message for the fans, especially those who don't have much sympathy for Mota and his style of football.
"We are suffering at home. I think the boys deserve the support of the fans. They work hard every day, they give their all for the Juventus jersey," said the Juventus coach.
Inter missed the opportunity to take first place in the table with a possible triumph.
"We are disappointed. But we played well, organized, brave. We should have realized our chances. We did not start the second half with the same approach as the first. We need to work even harder, because what we are doing now is not enough," said Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.
Inter will be visiting Napoli in two weeks.
"It will be an important game, but before that we play against Genoa and Lazio. We will try to do our best, to be better than tonight," concluded Inzaghi.
