After Mornar, Dečić AdmiralBet and Iskra, Petrovac also secured a place in the semi-finals of the Montenegrin Cup, defeating Rudar 2:1 on home soil today after a turnaround.
Two minutes were enough for Petrovac to turn the score around and come within a step of reaching the new final of the most popular competition. Petrovac won the Cup trophy in 2009, when they were better than Lovćen (1:0), and then played in the final again in 2015, where they were defeated by OFK Titograd 2:1 after extra time.
The home team had the first chance of the game today, in the 24th minute - after a mistake by Rudar goalkeeper Vuksanović, Petrovac player Šimun stepped out in front of the visiting team's goalie and shot wide of the goal.
It was the first excitement of the match, and a minute later, Vučićević was inaccurate on the other side, when he shot wide of the goal from about 16 meters.
In the 29st minute, Vučićević was more precise - Božinoski threw the ball into the box, Kojašević was blocked, but the ball reached Vučićević, who put it into the net.
That was the end of the excitement in the first half, but Petrovac came to a turnaround and victory in the second half in two minutes. The home team received a corner kick in the 59th minute, after which Vuksanović saved a shot from Kapisod, but Bašić put the ball into the net.
Two minutes later, the turnaround was complete - Kastanjeda crossed from the left, and Šimun, from the first, beautifully hit the net from about 16 meters.
Rudar missed their best chance after that in the 67th minute, when Kojašević was inaccurate after the break.
The Petrovac team will continue the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League on Saturday (17) and play a home match against Otrant-Olimpik.
When it comes to Rudar, the team from Pljevlja continues its competition in the Second League on March 1st, with a visit to Podgorica.
