Savović: We concede goals like we're pioneers or roosters

The football spring did not start well for Sutjeska - after losing to Buducnost pod Gorica, the club from Nikšić also had to congratulate Petrovac on their victory (3:0) near Bistrica.

What worries the coaching staff and fans more than the lost points and the fact that one of our two biggest clubs is only two points away from the relegation zone is the way the team from Nikšić conceded goals against Petrovac.

"Unfortunately, we concede goals as if we were a team of pioneers or roosters, it's really incomprehensible and I have no explanation for something like that, but it happens," Milija Savović, coach of Sutjeska, told RTV Nikšić.

The first goal came after indecision by goalkeeper Vladan Giljen and his teammates, the second when Dragan Miranović carelessly wanted to return the ball to his goalkeeper, and the third after a confused reaction and poor clearance by the defender.

Defensive mistakes cost Sutjeska, but the offense didn't shine either.

"We don't handle the situations we have in the opponent's penalty area properly and unfortunately in the end the result is what it is," added Savović.

The coach who was champion with Sutjeska in 2022 is now in a difficult situation.

"When it comes to the game itself, it may not reflect the result we have in the end, but it is played for goals and points, so we have to congratulate the better team this time," concluded Savović.
