Rodri's return to the field should happen this season - said Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The best football player in the world in 2024 was injured in September in the derby with Arsenal, when he tore a knee ligament and it was estimated that he would be out for nine to 10 months.
The recovery is going well, so Guardiola announced that the Spaniard could return to the field at the end of the season.
"The fans should know that they are not the only ones who are excited. But we have to take it step by step - we should not make stupid decisions and bring him back on the pitch a few weeks early... Rodri is playing with the ball, he is in contact with his teammates, but I would not say he is that close to playing," Guardiola said.
May or June - that's when Rodri's return is expected.
"He has more confidence and he is happy. I didn't expect him to come back this season before, but maybe it will happen. I don't mean the Club World Cup, I mean the Premier League competition," Guardiola said.
