Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all closer to reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League after tonight's round of 16 matches.
Liverpool beat PSG 1-0 in Paris, Barcelona defeated Benfica in Lisbon (1-0), and Bayern Munich was convincing against Bayer Leverkusen - 3-0.
PSG was constantly attacking in Paris, they were a much better rival, but Alisson excelled in the Liverpool goal.
The French champion had 27 shots, 10 of which went into the frame, but none of them ended up behind the Brazilian's back.
On the other hand, Liverpool must be very pleased. The Reds secured the victory in the 87th minute, when Elliott, a minute after coming on as a substitute, scored the final goal.
Barcelona also achieved a minimal victory, defeating Benfica with one less player.
The only goal for the "Blaugrana" was scored by Rafinha after a big mistake by Silva. Barça came away with the victory with a man less, as Kubarsi was sent off in the first half.
And in Munich, Bayern was convincing against Leverkusen (3:0), taking the lead in the ninth minute when Kane headed the ball into the net.
Musial doubled the lead in the 54th minute after a desperate intervention by Leverkusen goalkeeper Kovar, before Kane set the final score from the penalty spot in the 75th minute.
Leverkusen finished the match with ten men, as Mukiele received a red card.
Earlier, Inter defeated Feyenoord in Rotterdam 2-0, with goals from Thuram and Martinez.
