Montenegrin fans said an emotional farewell to Andrija Delibasic tonight in Niksic, and touching scenes were also seen at Partizan's stadium.
The players of the "black and whites", the club for which Andrija played and whose coaching staff he was part of when the last Serbian championship title was won, wore T-shirts with the image of the Nikšić-born goal scorer before the friendly match with CSKA.
On the south stand of the stadium in Humska there was a banner dedicated to Delibašić ("Eternal glory to the eternal scorer"), and the fans sang a song that was originally performed in the 1980s when Dragan Mance, a favorite of Partizan's fans, passed away.
"You are gone, Andrija, the sadness remains, the Gravediggers from the south will always love you."
CSKA Moscow coach Marko Nikolić, with whom he worked at Partizan in 2017 when they won the double crown, also spoke about Delibasic after the match.
"I have to look back at two wonderful men that Partizan lost. They worked with me - Radiša Ilić in the first term, Andrija Delibašić in the second term. I can call them my friends, especially Andrija, with whom I was very close," said Nikolić.
