The Dutch Telegraph first reported the news, and PSV later confirmed that one of its players had active tuberculosis.
It is reportedly Lucas Perez, a 36-year-old striker who has scored four goals in 23 games this season.
"Our medical team has taken all necessary measures. We have isolated the player and informed everyone he has been in contact with. So far, there are no indications that the people he has been in contact with are infected," PSV announced.
The football public remembers Perez as a former Arsenal and West Ham player, he also played for Elche, Alaves and Cadiz, and is particularly linked to Deportivo La Coruna.
Lucas was born in Galicia, and he showed how much he loves Depor in December 2022 when he returned to the club by paying half a million euros out of his own pocket to terminate his contract with Cadiz.
Peres played his last game on March 15th against RKC in the Dutch Eredivisie.
