Only 90 minutes left - that's how long it takes for the Montenegrin youth team to make history and qualify for the European Championship.
The U19 generation, recently taken over by Nenad Vukčević from Goran Perišić, could become the first football team to reach a major competition, and could there be a greater motivation than that before the match against Georgia in Tbilisi (16 p.m.), where Montenegro needs a win to qualify for the Euro?
It is certainly not an easy task for our youngsters, especially since they will be without leader and captain Vasilije Adžić in the key match, who received a yellow card in the first two matches and "eliminated" himself from the deciding match...
And how important he is was shown by the duels with Slovakia (1:1) and Poland (1:0) in which he was the scorer, especially the way the Juventus player checked the Polish goalkeeper - from a free kick from almost 40 meters - will be talked about for a long time to come.
But even without Adžić, the path to the Euros is clear - three points are needed to confirm that this generation really has something special.
- I think this will be one of the toughest games. Georgia is the host, and with a win they qualify for the Euro, so we know the stakes are high. And we are ready to give our all and make history - said midfielder Danilo Vukanić.
Defender Zarija Kumburović will also be absent, having been injured at the start of the match against the Poles.
- We played great against Slovakia in terms of tactics, we were dominant in the first half. We started the second half well, and then we fell physically. Fatigue and lack of discipline cost us the victory, we lost two very important points, and then we played a great game against Poland. It may not have been pretty to watch, but we did what we had to do. Poland is a serious team, with quality players, one of the best I've played against - the Buducnost player is clear.
Montenegro is ready to take a key step:
