After 18 years, after many qualification cycles and missed opportunities, Montenegro finally saw one of its football teams finish in a major competition.
The youth of our country took care of history, and everything was recognized by UEFA, which congratulated the Football Association of Montenegro on its great success.
"Congratulations to Montenegro, for the first time in history, the Football Association of Montenegro has a team that has qualified for a major competition. Mark your calendars for April 15th when the draw will be held," the European Football Federation announced.
The European Championship will be held from June 13th to 26th in Romania, and the fact that only eight national teams will appear at the Euro speaks volumes about the success Montenegro has achieved.
"See you in June at the final tournament in Romania," UEFA added.

The Montenegrin youth team finished the elite round of qualifications in Tbilisi with victories over Georgia (3:1) and Poland (1:0) and a draw with Slovakia (1:1).
