After signing for Bologna, talented Montenegrin defender Bodin Tomašević was one of the heroes from Tbilisi.
The Montenegrin youth football team made history as the first selection of our football team to qualify for a major competition, and Tomašević was one of those who commanded the "falcons" defense.
"Finally it happened, it was third time lucky and God was with us, especially after the first half which was below our level," said Tomašević, recalling that this generation was close to the European Championship several times.
Nenad Vukčević's men lost in the decisive match against Georgia, played without Vasilije Adžić, but rose above everything until the end.
"We came back at the end of the first half, and Andrej Camaj's goal revived us in the second half... We had a few more chances to win more convincingly. Of course, it should be noted that Georgia did not use all of its chances in the first half," the former Buducnost player is realistic.
At the end, he greeted everyone in our country.
"Thank you to the entire nation, this is a victory for the entire Montenegro... That's it - we fought like lions for our coat of arms," Tomašević concluded and kissed the Montenegrin coat of arms on his jersey.
