The troubles with the pitch at the stadium under Gorica will soon finally be over - this is what the Budućnost Football Club announced.

As announced, the leaders of our most trophy-winning club, the Football Association of Montenegro and the city company "Sportski objekti" have chosen the highest quality offer for the new outfit of the largest stadium in Montenegro.

"Work on the stadium under Gorica will begin in about twenty days at the latest, and the deadline for the work will be 45 days, so that by the beginning of June, the Buducnost stadium should finally have the grass surface that our club, our city, and our country deserve," said Buducnost.

They also add that the entire process was carried out with the involvement of the Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović.

"The mayor of the capital, upon taking office, announced that the new surface at the Podgorica arena is one of his top priorities, because he does not want the image from our largest stadium to be devastating, so within his capabilities, he accelerated the process of changing the grass surface, which has been talked about for years," the Podgorica club added.

It was not stated which offer was selected.

"Our club, FSCG and the Capital City have previously signed a contract on the joint cost of laying a new grass surface, and the commission with representatives of the three aforementioned entities has today selected the best and highest quality offer, which includes an efficient solution to the problem of the desperate surface under Gorica, as well as monthly monitoring after the surface is laid so that this summer's excesses are not repeated," concluded Buducnost.

The field under Gorica has been in a desperate state since last summer, which is why UEFA did not allow Montenegrin clubs to play matches on it in European qualifiers, and the same was true for our national football team, which had to move to Nikšić.

If everything goes as announced, the "falcons" will play their first home match in the World Cup qualifiers, against the Czech Republic in September, at Gorica.
