Having already registered six points and officially booked their place, the Montenegrin footballers opened the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with two important victories against Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands, but they know that the main battles are yet to come...
What our national team's coach Robert Prosinecki What has not left him since the beginning is faith in the team he leads and optimism that Montenegro can achieve a historic place in a major competition.
- I think it's every coach's dream to participate in a big tournament, whether it's the World Cup or the European Championship - said Prosinecki in an interview with the Italian "Tuttomercato" and emphasized:
- We have a very strong team, talented, with young players who are developing, such as Vasilije Adžić i Andrija BulatovićWe'll see what happens, we're in a group with Gibraltar, the Faroe Islands, Croatia and the Czech Republic and we hope we can succeed.

After the March play-offs, it is also known that the legend of Croatian football will face a clash with his country.
- Croatia is definitely the favorite of the group, and the Czech Republic always has a good team. Our goal is to qualify for the World Cup for the first time, which would be a historic success. But we are going step by step, match by match - added the Big Yellow.
We expect a lot from Adžić.
The Italian journalist was, as expected, most interested in what the "Falcon" coach thought about Adžić and Krstović, the young Montenegrins from Serie A.
- Adžić? He is certainly a very talented player, the future of Montenegro. During March, he was needed by the youth team, for which he scored two goals in two qualifying matches for the European Championship. If he had not been in Tbilisi, he would have been with us in the A team. He is a guy who has a great future - Prosinecki is clear.

Does he have a role as a key player in Juventus and the Montenegrin national team in the future?
- I think it will be so. As I said, he is talented, but also very professional, he has a strong character. In Montenegro, we believe that he is the future of our national team and we expect a lot from him.
Krstović and the big club
Adžić arrived at Juventus this season, made his debut for the Turin giants in Serie A and the Champions League, and has recently been showing his talent in the young team of the "Bianconeri", while Krstović is already a serious name in the "Calça", the top scorer of Leće and one of the best in the Italian championship. Is Nikola destined for a big club - was the next question.
- Krstović is having a great season. He is key for Lecce, he is playing very well, I hope he will continue to improve and that one day he will arrive at a big club - believes Prosinecki.

From the perspective of Montenegro, he says...
- Still, I'm thinking about the national team, and he's one of the most important players here. Like Adžić, he's still young and we have high hopes for his future.
Tudor is perfect for Juve
During the last international break, Juventus changed coaches, so Adžić will be in charge instead. Tiaga Mote to lead from now on Tudor Igor, a former teammate of Prosinečki in the Croatian national team.
- Igor fits perfectly into Italian football. He knows it very well, he is quite tough, but also a very good coach. He got the opportunity to lead one of the best clubs and I hope everything goes well for him. We played together at the 1998 World Cup. I know him and I am sure he deserves the best - concluded Prosinečki.
