UEFA has paid out more than 2023 billion euros to participating clubs in the 2024/2,2 season for previous editions of its club tournaments - the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
Real Madrid got the most - according to UEFA's financial report, the Madrid club that won the Champions League in the 2023/2024 season received around 139 million euros, of which 14 million came from revenue from the sale of television rights.
In second place in terms of prize money was PSG (122,4 million), while Borussia Dortmund, which played in the Champions League final, was third (120).
Manchester City received €110,5 million from UEFA for their appearance in the Champions League and €4,5 million for the European Super Cup against Sevilla. Barcelona's income was €98 million.
Manchester United, who finished last in the group, earned around €61 million. The smallest amount among the participants in the previous Champions League draw was earned by Antwerp - less than €22 million.
Of the Europa League participants, Bayer Leverkusen, who lost to Atalanta in the final, earned the most - 41,2 million. The winner, Club from Bergamo, received around 34 million.
In this season, 2024/2025, thanks to the new competition format, earnings will be increased by 25 percent.
