Dutch coach Erik ten Hag's managers have denied reports that they are negotiating with Roma football club about a deal, Italian media reported today.
Ten Hag watched the Serie A match between Roma and Juventus (1:1) at the Olympic Stadium in Rome last night, after which speculation arose that the former Manchester United coach had come to negotiate a deal with the Roman club.
However, his managers denied the talks and said that Ten Hag had traveled to the Italian capital to watch an important Roma match at home, reported Gazeta dello Sport and Calciomercato.
Gazeta reported that Ten Hag did not respond to questions from Roma fans about whether he would be appointed as the new coach.
Claudio Ranieri's contract expires in June, and the 73-year-old coach said he will not stay at the club after that, but will help the management find the ideal successor.
Ten Hag has been out of work since he was sacked by Manchester United at the end of last October.
