Former Montenegrin national team player, a football player who left an indelible mark in Asia, Dejan-Boske Damjanović will be the new sports director of Buducnost, "Vijesti" has learned.
Damjanović will succeed Andrija Delibasic in this position, who passed away in mid-March after a long battle with a serious illness.
Damjanović, accompanied by the executive director, Novak Novaković, watched the matches of Buducnost against Jedinstvo-France and Petrovac in the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
Dejan Damjanović left an indelible mark in Asia, where he played for Incheon, Seoul, Jiangsu, Beijing, Suwon, Daegu and Kiichi.
With Seoul, he was the champion of South Korea three times, won the League Cup, and in 2013, he finished second in the Asian Champions League, while in the 2019 FA Cup with Suwon.
He was the top scorer in the K 1 League three times, in 2010 he was voted the best football player in that competition, and two years later he won the MVP title in the K 1 League.
He is the top scorer in the history of the Asian Champions League with 42 goals.
He won two titles with Kitchee, was the top scorer twice, and was the Footballer of the Year and a member of the ideal team of the First League in Hong Kong.
He also played for Sinđelić, Železnik, Srem, Radnički from Belgrade, Bežanija and Al-Ahli.
He played 30 games for the Montenegrin national football team, scoring eight goals - two each against Cyprus and England, and scoring once against Poland, Ghana, Ukraine and Sweden.
