Four games, four defeats and only four goals scored - the qualifications for futsal Euro 2026 have not gone well for Montenegro so far, so our national team will be looking for its first triumph today.
The rival is Hungary, and the match will be played in the "Verde" hall in Donja Gorica at 18 p.m.
Before the end of the qualifiers, the Sveta Ljesara team still has a duel with Norway in Oslo, and since Montenegro is still without points (with a desperate goal difference of 4:18), and the two aforementioned rivals already have six each, leader Slovenia 12, it is clear that the story surrounding the European Championship is practically over.
The group winner will qualify for the Old Continent Championship, while second place could lead to a play-off.
In any case, Montenegro wants to improve its impression for the start.
"We have very difficult and demanding matches to look forward to at the end of the qualifiers. The focus is, of course, on the match against Hungary - we know everything about them, we scouted them well. We have to be at our best in all elements of the game in order to achieve a favorable result," said coach Ljesar.
He called up the following players for these two matches: Goalkeepers - Milun Sekulić (Titograd), Balša Đurković (Bajo Pivaljnin). Players - Ilija Mugoša, Novica Ćalasan (Bajo Pivljanin), Luka Vuletić (Lucenec, Slovakia), Lazar Kostić, David Puletić (Gomel, Netherlands), Goran Delić, Marko Spasojević, Janko Bulatović, Nikola Cimbaljević, Pavle Vukčević, Filip Marković (Titograd), Nikola Vidaković (Studetski dom).
