Futsal team defeats Norway at the end of the qualifiers

The Montenegrin futsal team completed its performance in the main round of EURO 2026 qualifiers with a triumph over Norway.

Despite an early deficit in Oslo, Sveta Ljesara's team celebrated last night with a score of 6:5, thus achieving their first victory in Group 4.

The home team was already 2:0 up in the second minute thanks to Zindeu Vel and Eirik Denem, but Montenegro soon got into the rhythm and through Goran Delić, double scorer Janko Bulatović, Luka Vuletić and Pavle Vukčević turned the game around and gained a big advantage. The Norwegians threatened in the final minutes, but not enough to jeopardize our team's triumph.

"A very difficult game, in which we suffered a lot in the first and last two minutes of the match. However, everything else in this match was on our side. I congratulate the boys on the victory, which is important for us, because with these three points we will probably maintain our position in the ranking list, which will allow us not to play the preliminary round in the next cycle, as well as to be in the third pot in the draw," said coach Sveto Ljesar for the Association's website after the match.
