Manchester City are ready to pay 150 million euros for Florian Wirz.
According to "Get German Football News", Bayer still believes that the midfielder will stay at the club for another season and has not lost hope of extending his contract until 2028, including a release clause of 125 million euros, which will come into effect next summer.
However, if Virtz decides not to renew his contract, he will likely leave the club this summer. Bayer will demand at least 150 million euros.
Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in the 21-year-old. Wirz's decision on his future will largely depend on his goals - he wants to win the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or.
In this regard, he considers a move to Real Madrid the most desirable option, while the option with Bayern attracts him the least. However, Real Madrid will only decide in May whether to try to sign the midfielder.
City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly met with the player to explain how he would fit into the squad and replace Kevin de Bruyne. The Citizens are ready to pay Bayer Leverkusen €150m and offer Florian a salary of €25m per year.
However, Florian's father wants his son to strengthen Bayern and has met with the Munich club's honorary president, Uli Hoeness, several times.
Wirz has played 26 games in this Bundesliga season, scoring nine goals and registering 10 assists.
