Buducnost, in the 30th round of the domestic football championship, welcomes Arsenal pod Gorica: the match will be played on Sunday, April 20, starting at 19.00:XNUMX PM, and admission to the Podgorica arena is free.
The "blue-white" clash with the Tivat team is not just an ordinary match, it will be the last for Budućnost pod Gorica in the current season (the stadium's surface will begin renovations starting Sunday), and it could also be a game in which they will celebrate their seventh championship title.
The math is clear, with seven rounds remaining: Buducnost will win the title in one of the most convincing club seasons if second-placed Petrovac does not beat Sutjeska at home on Sunday (15.00:XNUMX p.m.), and the calculations are as follows: if Petrovac draws – Buducnost needs a triumph, and if Petrovac loses – a point is enough for the "blue and whites".
Everyone in the "blue and white" camp knows this...
"Of course we know and we will watch the Petrovac – Sutjeska match," says head coach Ivan Brnović and adds:
"Regardless of how the aforementioned match ends, we will turn to ourselves and try to overcome an unpleasant opponent."
Winning at home is an obligation for Buducnost from Sunday to Sunday, the "blues" neither can nor want to escape the role of favorites, and the opponent they are visiting has played seven times under Gorica: against Arsenal, they have recorded five wins, one draw and one loss - a total of: 13 games, nine wins, three draws, one loss.
"We have in mind that this is the last game of the season at our stadium and in front of our fans, so we will certainly give our maximum to achieve victory even though we are weakened by the absence of Ivanovic and Bojovic," said Brnović before the game against the fourth-placed team in the championship.
"Arsenal have entered the form of play and results, which has followed us throughout the season - that many teams are on an upward trajectory until they meet us, so we now have a difficult task ahead of us against a very good and disciplined team led by young coach Božidar Tujković, whom I respect immensely."
They are aware of the future and the possibility of making the season a record one in the club's participation in the championship - number of wins, number of goals scored, number of points, number of games without defeat.
"Arsenal has good individuals, I would especially highlight Abdulahi, there are the hardened Šahman and Bulatović, and I would also single out Kovinić, who has solved the last few games. The opponent is a good and solid team that does not allow the opponent many chances. We are in for a test on Sunday, but our players have shown attitude and good play many times in difficult matches, so I expect the same ahead of this game and of course a victory that would open the doors of heaven for us," Brnović said clearly.
