Ipswich played with a man down from the 32nd minute, after Leif Davies received a straight red card.
Arsenal are second in the table with 66 points, 10 points behind and a game in hand over first-placed Liverpool. Ipswich are 18th with 21 points.
In the next round, Arsenal will welcome Crystal Palace, while Ipswich will visit Newcastle.
Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Manchester United 1-0 on the away field.
The winning goal was scored by Pablo Sarabia in the 77th minute.
Both teams have won 38 points and are tied for 14th place in the standings.
In the next round, Wolverhampton will welcome Leicester, while United will visit Bournemouth.
Chelsea players defeated Fulham 2:1 on the away field.
The home team took the lead with a goal from Alex Iwobi, and Chelsea equalized with a goal from Tyreke Jones in the 83rd minute.
Pedro Neto's goal in the third minute of stoppage time brought Chelsea the victory.
Chelsea is fifth with 57 points, and Fulham is ninth with 48 points.
