Viktor Đukanović has been through a lot since May of last year, when he was last a top scorer at club level, and then this April changed everything...
The Montenegrin footballer first became a father at the age of 22, just a day after his daughter Mia was born, he scored his first goal after 10 months and 10 days, and then he never stopped.
The guy who is still young enough to have the career he deserves due to his talent was the scorer for Dunajska Streda in three games in a row.
His debut in Slovak football came against Podbrezova, then he scored on the field of regular champion Slovan, and he continued it all in the match against Košice - the last goal was also the fastest this season in the Nike League, as it came after only 37 seconds.
And it was a masterpiece.
"Of course I'm happy about the goals, but it's even more important that I helped the team," Djukanovic told club television.
The young Nikšić player moved from Buducnost to Hammarby, and the teams in Sweden quickly drew attention to him, but the transfer to Standard Liege was a wrong decision - he practically did not play in Belgium, and a move to Slovakia followed. This time it will turn out to be the right decision.
"Yes, I feel much better now, but I know that this is not my maximum yet. I arrived after a complicated situation and I really didn't know why I wasn't playing for Standard. Now I just want to go step by step to my maximum," added Đukanović.
Dunajska Streda has already been a great springboard for one Montenegrin, who also arrived in the city on the border with Hungary after a difficult period - at Red Star. It's Nikola Krstović, who is now shaking the nets in Serie A.
"Nikola and I talked a lot, I asked him what he thought about me moving to Dunajska Streda, and of course he was happy. We have had contact from before from the Montenegrin national team," explained Đukanović.
How many goals can fans expect from Viktor in the upcoming period?
"I don't like to talk about it. Of course, it's important how I play, but the team and the victories are much more important, so I want to help the team first and foremost."
Finally, there was one question that was not relevant to Đukanović - who will win the Champions League?
"I hope Barcelona," concluded Djukanovic.
His "awakening" must also please the "Falcon" coach Robert Prosinecki ahead of June and the match in Đukanović's neighborhood against the Czech Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
