It was practically clear halfway through the season that the Montenegrin footballer would leave Lecce in the summer and join a bigger club, and that Juve was serious about making him that club was confirmed by Gianni Balcarini, a journalist for "Mediaset".
"In my opinion, we saw the real striker for Juve at our stadium in the last round - it was Krstović. I really like him and I believe in him more and more, but we need to first see how much money Pantaleo Corvino (Lecce's sporting director) is asking for him," said Balcarini.
The Italian journalist continued with kind words for the "Falcon" striker.
"He is a really serious player, especially when looking to the future. Of course, it is clear that there will be pressure if he comes to Juventus, because it is one thing to play in Lecce and quite another in Turin," added Balcarini.
In the end, he did not hide that the former Zeta, Red Star and Dunajska Streda striker was on the "Old Lady's" scanner.
"Is Juve following him? The answer is yes, they're keeping an eye on him. I really like that kind of striker too, a lot," Balcarini concluded.
There are still five rounds left until the end of Serie A, Krstović's wish before the transfer talk is first and foremost to try to leave Lecce in the elite ranks, and after that it will be clearer where he will continue his career. The most important thing right now is that he is valued and it is no coincidence that the biggest Italian clubs are asking about him.
Krstović has scored 10 goals and registered three assists in Serie A this season - in total, his Lecce have only scored 23 times in the championship.
