Manchester United's trophy-laden player Gary Neville makes no secret of his surprise at Liverpool's incredible season, which has them 12 points clear of second-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table.
"Liverpool are untouchable this season, but that's not their problem. That's everyone else's problem. That's Manchester City's problem. That's Arsenal's problem, for Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Tottenham, Manchester United and all the clubs that spend big money and want to think that's why they're going to be at the top," Neville said.
He doesn't hide that he was surprised by the Reds' great season.
"Liverpool have been very good at signing players for years, but at the start of the season I thought they would finish fifth. I thought there would be an inevitable natural decline, as sometimes happens when managers like Arsene Wenger or Sir Alex Ferguson leave. It's just a natural decline. That's why I think manager Arne Slot deserves huge praise," said the former Manchester United defender.
